Citizen has unveiled two new limited-edition Promaster Dive watches dedicated to the iconic Japanese character, Godzilla, affectionately known as “Ecozilla.” These timepieces blend Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology with the spirit of Godzilla and feature a sturdy 48.2mm case.
The watches are designed with a sleek black color scheme, with a distinctive camouflage pattern on the case, dial, and bezel inspired by Godzilla’s scales. Upon closer examination, you’ll notice subtle Godzilla motifs within the pattern. One version has a black dial, while the other is adorned with a dark red dial.
In keeping with their Promaster Dive heritage, these limited-edition watches can withstand depths of up to 300 meters underwater. They are powered by the B873 caliber and Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, which allows them to run continuously for up to six months without the need for a battery change.
The back of the watch case features an engraved Kaiju footprint, accompanied by a unique batch number indicating their limited availability. Both versions of the watch come with environmentally friendly Polyurethane straps made from partially biomass-derived materials.
Set for a worldwide release in early 2024, these timepieces mark the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise. The Promaster Godzilla watches will be available in limited editions of 2,500 units and 3,000 pieces, respectively, with both versions retailing for $900 USD each through Citizen. Don’t miss the opportunity to own a piece of cinematic history on your wrist.
