Continuing the momentum from the recent launch of its café in Saint-Tropez, Louis Vuitton is extending its innovative concept model to Italy. The luxury brand under the LVMH umbrella is unveiling a resort boutique store and its inaugural Italian café in the picturesque town of Taormina in Sicily.
The Louis Vuitton Café by Timeo, managed by LVMH-affiliated Belmond, embodies the azure tones of the Mediterranean. The boutique offers more than just retail therapy; beyond the standard fare of clothing and accessories, the venue incorporates food, entertainment, and technology. The café occupies the first floor of the resort-centric store, with operations helmed by the Belmond-owned Grand Hotel Timeo situated on Corso Umberto.
Promising all-day services from breakfast through lunch and aperitivo, the café’s menu is curated by Chef Roberto Toro, who lends his unique spin on traditional Sicilian delights. Diners can look forward to treats like arancini, or fried stuffed rice balls, and local drinks such as the Taormina Spritz. The café’s decor stays true to the Mediterranean theme, featuring Fernando and Humberto Campana’s Bulbo armchairs and ceramic tiles in a blue and white color scheme.
The Taormina establishment joins Louis Vuitton’s network of resort stores, each designed to showcase its Pool collection. Other such stores can be found in idyllic locations including the Hamptons, Saint Tropez in France, Bodrum in Turkey, and Mykonos in Greece. The store presents a selection of ready-to-wear items, bags, shoes, and accessories from the LV by the Pool collection, alongside a special edition of the signature Neverfull tote bag, all presented in a soothing palette of white and blue to match the Mediterranean aesthetics.
