Spotify, the leading music platform, is venturing into the world of artist merchandise, aiming to produce exclusive capsule collections in collaboration with its top-performing artists.
The debut collection, in partnership with Mexican artist Peso Pluma, celebrated Día de los Meurtos (Day of the Dead). It featured a range of hoodies, T-shirts, jerseys, and bandanas adorned with signature iconography and imagery from Pluma’s recent works. The collection is now available on Spotify’s webstore, with prices ranging from $20 USD to $120 USD.
Peso Pluma expressed, “Spotify has always supported my music, since Day One, so it made sense to align with them. I use these capsule items in my day-to-day, and I want my fans to have them as well. They hold a special meaning in Mexican culture.”
This week, Spotify will expand its apparel offerings with a collection dedicated to Daft Punk, commemorating the 10th anniversary of their acclaimed record, “Random Access Memories.” The capsule will include illustrated hoodies, iconographic T-shirts, and a crystal logo clock.
Following the Daft Punk launch, Spotify plans to curate collections for artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Tems, and Rosalía.
