Nev Schulman is a producer ,actor and director who first came to mainstream prominence in 2010 when he release his award winning documentary Catfish. The documentary documented how Nev built a real relationship with a young woman on facebook. The young woman it would later turn out was not who she claimed to be and had actually created a whole circle of friends and family as a way of further convincing Nev of her authenticity. We won’t spoil the documentary, however with the success of the documentary, MTV picked up the concept for a reality tv series which has been a runaway success. Now in 2015 Nev has just become the new global ambassador for the Rocawear brand!

2. Shameless plug! What is your connection to Rocawear
Not much outside of the fact that I grew up on the mean streets of New York City.
3. What made you want to associate yourself with the brand
I’ve always admired Jay-Z for his music and entrepreneurship and I think everything he does represents his passion for creativity and commitment to authenticity.
4. Favorite pieces from the new collection?
Yeah the sweatpants I’m wearing right now that I basically haven’t taken off since I left set. I think they call them joggers. I wear them when I travel, when I work out, go grocery shop- ping…
6. How has your life change since being on catfish
How hasn’t my life changed since being on Catfish? The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me turned out to be the best.
7. Favorite Rocawear collection?
The one featuring Naomi Campbell. And the first collection in 1999, which is classic New York to me: track suits, t-shirts…
8. Where do you find inspiration?
In my friends! Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time with some of my Vine friends like Casey Neistat, Jerome Jarre, Rudy Mancuso, and my friends Matthew and Jarrett who start- ed a website called ATTN that I write for.
9. Whats does 2015 hold for NEV
Catfish season four which premieres March 2nd in the UK. Fingers crossed, another great new show with MTV and hopefully a visit to the UK.
