British hip-hop sensation Skepta takes a brief detour from the mic to launch his eagerly awaited streetwear brand, MAINS London. Since hinting at the label with underwear previews in 2018, fans were left in suspense until the recent announcement. MAINS London is set to make its grand debut at the upcoming London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2024, further ramping up anticipation through its inaugural collaboration with Dover Street Market.
The premiere collection provides a sneak peek featuring UK hip-hop artist Central Cee. The line embraces an oversized, street-savvy aesthetic. Notably, the Dover Street Market-exclusive lineup includes a minimalist tee adorned with a Greek statue holding an “M”. Denim jackets with contrasting stitches, asymmetrical pockets, and chest cutouts steal the spotlight. The collection also incorporates New Era caps, reimagined with sleek leather brims and metallic pin details.
On the accessory front, Skepta introduces retro-inspired oval sunglasses, crafted in partnership with Emmanuelle Khanh. The ensemble is rounded off with a quirky rubber tape recorder and a luxe leather phone case.
