Seiko Unveils Exclusive Prospex ‘Speedometer’ Solar Speedtimer Chronograph for the European Market

In a nod to the bygone era of glamorous Mediterranean blue classic cars from the 1960s, Seiko introduces the limited-edition Prospex “Speedometer” Solar Speedtimer Chronograph. Tailored exclusively for the European market, this fresh iteration of the Prospex model encapsulates the retro and sporty aesthetics of an era defined by stylish drives.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic blue classic cars of the ’60s, the watch boasts a dial adorned in a matte and retro light blue hue, reminiscent of the fashionable vehicles of that era. The three subdials and indexes, shrouded in black, contribute to the watch’s vintage charm. Adding a striking contrast, orange accents are strategically placed as a nostalgic nod to the Speedometer found in vintage car models, evoking the spirit of the open road.

Encased in a 39mm-wide stainless steel build, the limited-edition chronograph is accompanied by a matching metal bracelet, enhancing its overall retro sporty appeal. Powering the timepiece is the V192, a quartz solar caliber known for its reliability, capable of running continuously for six months when fully charged.

The Prospex “Speedometer” Solar Speedtimer Chronograph European Exclusive Limited Edition is now available for pre-order at £650 through Seiko’s official UK website. Embrace the timeless allure of this exclusive timepiece, where vintage inspiration meets cutting-edge craftsmanship.
