Unveiling at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Mercedes-Benz introduced its avant-garde, AI-enhanced, fully electric CLA Class concept. Outfitted with cutting-edge designs and the groundbreaking “Mercedes-Benz Operating System” (MB.OS), the vehicle redefines luxury and tech integration.
This Concept CLA Class presents an electrifying exterior, transitioning iconic design elements for the electric age. The standout features include a dynamic shark-nose front, a seamless grille displaying an animated star pattern, an extended wheelbase, and a sleek hood design. Enhancing its elegance is the expansive glass roof, which also lends a serene ambiance to the interior. Passengers will find an interior that marries minimalistic tech with luxury, offering a blend of sustainably sourced Nappa leather, paper trim, and high-gloss finishes.
The car’s core integrates VISION EQXX technology and is crafted on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) platform. Its efficiency is unmatched with a 500-mile range and an energy consumption of 12 kWh/62 miles. A standout feature? Its 800 V electric system charges up to 250 miles within 15 minutes.
The MB.OS technology introduces revolutionary personalization, bolstered safety, and autonomous driving capabilities. Key features, such as the Child Presence Detection, emphasize child safety.
Mercedes-Benz envisions this Concept CLA Class as the inaugural model in an upcoming all-electric entry-level series. Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, mentioned, “Our upcoming range will encompass four models, catering to a new generation desiring the Mercedes-Benz touch complemented by enhanced amenities and state-of-the-art tech.”
