Valentino has inaugurated its brand-new flagship store at 654 Madison Avenue in New York City. This retail space aligns with Valentino’s global retail concept, which reimagines existing buildings to create distinctive brand environments.
The store spans three floors, offering nearly 1,142 square meters of retail space. It seamlessly blends the architectural grandeur of the building with Valentino’s high-end fashion. The columnar facade, expansive windows, and spacious interior showcase the building’s architectural charm. Inside, the space features seven-meter high ceilings and exposed steel finishes, giving it a modern, industrial aesthetic.
The first floor features a green onyx display unit at its center, with Valentino’s footwear collection on the right and select ready-to-wear garments on the left. The area is designed with bespoke seating and red velvet-clad walls, creating an intimate shopping experience. Illuminated shelves highlight Valentino Garavani accessories.
Visitors can ascend a grand staircase to the second floor, where the women’s collections are elegantly displayed. Red lacquered wardrobes house Pierpaolo Piccioli’s latest creations, juxtaposed with a checkered floor adorned with white Botticino and black Nero Marquina marbles. Two VIP areas offer an exclusive shopping experience, complete with sitting rooms and dressing areas.
In the basement, Valentino’s menswear collection is showcased against a backdrop of stark concrete and black parquet flooring, accented by bright shelving. An adjoining room boasts lilac flooring, providing a colorful contrast against mirrored columns, and a 1970s DeSede Snake Sofa adds a touch of dynamism.
The mezzanine of the building will host temporary art displays in collaboration with New York’s Magazzino Italian Art. The inaugural gallery features the impressive paintings of Mario Schifano.
Valentino’s new flagship store is now open to the public, offering a sophisticated and modern shopping environment on Madison Avenue.
