Mercedes-Benz has introduced updates to its V8 models within the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé lineup. These enhancements apply to various versions, ranging from the GT 63 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé to the high-performance GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé.
The front design of these models draws inspiration from the new AMG GT Coupé, featuring a larger air intake beneath the AMG-specific radiator trim. Vertical air ducts on the front apron add a sportier aesthetic.
Performance-wise, the revised models come equipped with the standard AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, and AMG RIDE CONTROL+ air suspension with adaptive adjustable damping. Key features include active rear-axle steering, an electronically controlled rear axle locking differential, and MULTIBEAM LED main headlights.
The interiors offer comfort and convenience with standard features like an electric sunroof, EASY-PACK tailgate, and wireless smartphone charging between the rear seats. The Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system has been updated with AMG-specific displays and configurable functions. The standard Burmester surround sound system can be upgraded to the optional Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos technology.
Customers can personalize their vehicles with options like the AMG Aerodynamics Package and AMG Carbon Exterior Package. The updated models are also available in the new Opalite White Metallic paint color.
Under the hood, the GT 63 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé delivers 585 HP and a maximum of 590 lb-ft of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 192 mph. The GT 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-door coupé boasts 639 HP, 663 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 mph time of under 3.2 seconds, and a top speed of 195 mph.
As of now, the updated V8 models for the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé are available in Europe through select Mercedes-Benz dealers, with prices ranging from £144,525 to £159,131 GBP.
