Honda, looking back to its 1981 classic, the Motocompo, introduces its revamped electric avatar: the Motocompacto. Originally a compact, foldable scooter, the modern iteration stands as a testament to sustainable, zero-emission personal transportation. Crafted through the innovative minds at Honda’s Ohio and California bases, this electric scooter secured 32 patents, boasting a unique design.
Lightweight at 41 lb (19 kg) and stackable, its dimensions slim down from 38 inches to roughly 28 inches when folded. With a top speed of 15 MPH and a peak output of 490W, the Motocompacto isn’t for highways but is ideal for college campuses or park rides. A full battery recharge, accomplished via a standard 110 v outlet, takes 3.5 hours and delivers 12 miles.
Prioritizing safety, it’s equipped with a robust aluminum frame, LED lights, side reflectors, and a steel lock loop. With a competitive price of $995 USD, it’ll be available online and in stores this November.
